Industrail Waste Water Treatment (ETP)

We strongly recommend the reuse option for substantial wastewater volumes, which involves the use of Ultra Filtration (UF) followed by Reverse Osmosis (RO). Industrial wastewaters are usually treated biologically using MBBR technology, followed by sedimentation and tertiary treatment.

Food Waste Management

UAE has witnessed a tremendous rise in population. As a result, the number of hotels, supermarkets, and restaurants has also soared. Food waste has, thus, increased substantially. As recommended by the UAE Government, we have doubled our efforts to treat solid waste as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Utilica uses the Bio Thermic Digester for food waste by over 75-80% and the end product can be directly used as soil conditioner. When solid waste enters the Bio Thermic Digester, it is heated for thermophilic bacteria to begin its action. The thermophiles are voracious eaters and they release heat themselves, which helps sustain the heat within the Bio Thermic Digester. The heat within the Bio Thermic Digester chambers (up to 50-60 C) also sterilizes the end product, ensuring complete absence of bacteria. Thus, the end product can be used directly after treatment. This makes Bio Thermic Digester the most efficient system for food waste management.

REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANTS (RO)

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water filtration process using membrane technology. It removes almost 99% of impurities like salts, ions, and other microns dissolved in wastewater.

Natural osmosis is a process where water flows from lower solute concentration to higher solute concentration, through a semipermeable membrane. This develops osmotic pressure, which stops water from flowing through the membrane after achieving a balance. For water purification, the reverse osmosis process is adopted by applying external pressure that exceeds osmotic pressure. This reverses the water flow and it flows from higher concentration to lower concentration, through a synthetic semipermeable membrane.

Depending on the quality of the filter and the membrane, all contaminants including bacteria, viruses, parasites, heavy metals, inorganic chemicals, pesticides, and algae are removed. These impurities and contaminants, called the reject stream, are later flushed down the drain. Our reverse osmosis systems are equipped with membranes of the best quality for high durability and low fouling potential.

We offer the following types of RO plants, depending on the degree of inlet feed water TDS:
